201 Charlotte St

An existing public walkway, protected from the rain by glass, but subject to the Brisbane heat, was generating a greenhouse like environment.

Requiring an update to shroud the walkway from the sun, renown Arkhefield Architects designed an angle system to not only provide improved solar radiation performance, but also, a ceiling which acts as public art, giving back to the streetscape.

DecoPanel Designs worked with the FDC Construction to supply and install hundreds of pieces of angle. Using three colours of anodised aluminium to specified patterns, and fitting to existing steelwork, this was a challenging project with a dramatic result.
